HYTONE™ Natural Rubber Latex Sheeting

A unique and proprietary manufacturing method allows The Hygenic Corporation® to produce natural latex sheeting with exceptionally tight tolerances and many different thicknesses to meet most customers' requirements.

Because it is made primarily from pure natural rubber latex, its superior physical properties, when compared to calendered rubber sheeting, make HYTONE™ sheeting desirable in applications where high tensile strength, elongation and tear resistance are required.

Our manufacturing process also allows us to make virtually any color.

Our latex sheeting is available in widths up to 42” (1.07m) and can be slit or manufactured to your unique requirements.

And talk about “green”! Natural rubber is inherently an environmentally friendly and biodegradable material. It is harvested from live trees that do not have to be cut down, which makes it a renewable resource.

We are able to manufacture our products to fit your needs. To view the physical characteristics of our most common formulations, please sign in or register first:

Q: What thicknesses are available?

0.006” (0.15mm)
0.008” (0.20mm)
0.010” (0.25mm)
0.012” (0.31mm)
0.014” (0.35mm)
0.020” (0.51mm)
0.025” (0.64mm)
0.030” (0.76mm)
0.040” (1.01mm)
0.050” (1.27mm)

Q: What lengths are available?
Lengths vary depending on the thickness.  Standard lengths are 20 to 50 yard (18.28m to 45.72m) rolls.   Lengths tailored to your unique specifications are available.

Q: What widths are available?
The standard width is 42” (1.07m).  Custom widths are available upon request.

Q: What colors are available?
Virtually any color can be manufactured on a custom order basis.  We can even custom color match to your sample or PMS number.

Q: Is your sheeting FDA approved?
The FDA does not “approve” formulations or component type products.  Many of our products are listed with the FDA and have successfully been tested for use in medical applications.    Please contact us for additional information.

Q: Is it powder free?
No.  It is necessary to apply some sort of surface release agent during the manufacturing process.

Q: Are there alternatives to the types of powder applied to it?
Yes.  Please contact us to discuss alternatives.

Q: Can I have it made to a unique thickness?

Yes.

Q: Are custom compounds or formulations available?

Yes.

Q: What is the difference between sheeting & film?
Generally speaking, sheeting is flat material that is 0.020” (0.51mm) and thicker.  Film is flat material that is less than 0.020” (0.51mm) thick.
