Hygenic® Extruded Natural Rubber Tubing

Hygenic© Extruded Natural Rubber Tubing

Hygenic® Extruded Natural Rubber Tubing is a thermoset developed from dry natural rubber. Dry natural rubber can be compounded for a variety of uses with various processing aides and curatives before it is manufactured by means of extrusion. Thermosets are irreversibly cured and designed to be molded into their final form, which means they will retain their shape and strength even when reheated.

Hygenic Extruded Natural Rubber Tubing is produced from dry natural rubber that is harvested from live trees that do not have to be cut down, which makes it a renewable resource. Therefore, natural rubber is inherently an environmentally friendly material and is biodegradable. The typical physical properties of Hygenic Natural Rubber tubing closely match those of natural rubber latex.

Our proprietary manufacturing process allows us to make tubing with no detectable levels of surface proteins. Hygenic are also experts at custom compounding and therefore can offer many different formulations to meet most unique customer requirements.

Rubber Cord

Rubber cord is tubing with a solid center and is available in two materials - natural rubber and synthetic rubber.

Rubber Profiles

Hygenic can manufacture extruded custom profiles from almost any elastomeric compound we make.

Q: What is the difference between natural rubber tubing and natural rubber latex tubing?
Natural rubber tubing is made from a dry natural rubber material.  Natural rubber latex tubing is made from liquid latex.  The physical properties between the two are similar but not exactly the same.

Q: What sizes of natural rubber tubing available?
We can manufacture just about any size of ID and wall combination up to 2” (51mm) outside diameter. Please call us for more details.

Q: Can you make natural rubber tubing in specific colors?
Yes, we can provide natural rubber tubing that is custom matched to your color without a huge minimum order requirement.

Q: What is your minimum order requirement on custom sizes and/or colors of natural rubber tubing?
The minimum order requirement will vary depending on the size and color.  We try to keep our minimum order requirements as low as possible to accommodate all our customers' various requirements.

Q: Can natural rubber tubing be used outdoors?
Natural rubber can be greatly affected by sunlight and ozone.  This tubing can be used outdoors when specific care is taken to protect the tubing.  Call us for more details.
